RCIA: for unbaptized persons

Catechetical Sessions: For Baptized persons wishing to learn about the Roman Catholic Church. This includes the possibility of entering into Full Communion with the Church.

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is the ordinary means by which one who has attained the age of reason (about 7) receives the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Confirmation, and Holy Communion).

For those younger than high school age a special program will be utilized. For those of high school age and above we use the Didache Series book An Introduction to Catholicism as the base teaching tool for the sessions. Persons in RCIA are encouraged to be “exceptional”, that is, learning daily the faith of Jesus Christ and integrating this learning into daily life.

There are differing stages for those in RCIA and one is not forced at any point to commit to anything. The person who desires to enter into the fullness of the Christian Faith, The Catholic Church, may request, as their heart is moved to do so. Though there is a schedule, one may begin at any point in time.
